Fastway Couriers Geelong has donated its services to collect approximately 200 bottles of wine from a number of local wineries, and deliver them to the judges of the Geelong Wine Show ahead of the awards presentation, which will take place on Saturday, 24 October at the RACV Torquay Resort. Travelling to wineries across the region from Moorabool Valley to Bellarine, four Geelong Courier Franchisees, ensured the safe delivery of each bottle entered into the judging process.
Now in its 17th year, the Geelong Wine Show brings together small and large producers from across the region to compare and benchmark local wines. The aim of the event is to promote excellence in wine production and highlight local vintages to the general public. This year, the event welcomed nationally acclaimed judges including: Corrina Wright, a seasoned panel chair and wine judge in Australia; Ralph Kyte-Powell, wine writer and reviewer for The Age; and Tom Hogan, Head Sommelier at the multi award winning Lake House Daylesford.
